Our History
The organization, Love By Action In Charity, was founded by Rev. Dr. Schubert Liska after multiple trips to Haiti. Rev. Dr. Liska realized that the situation of those children who had been enrolled into criminal activities is due to the lack of governmental oversight. In 2017, Rev. Dr. Liska decided to give those children a better option by sponsoring them through programs, activities, and projects that will shape them into a better society of tomorrow. Considering the complexity of his vision, in 2022, it was imperative to partner Love by Action in Charity with Dr. Jean Gary Joseph as the principal leader who will facilitate the fruition of our programs here in South Florida and abroad.
Love by Action in Charity works collaboratively with various stakeholders and organizations in Broward County, FL., and Haiti, more specifically in Port de Paix (where 3 in 5 children are living in poverty and have no access to preschool). We eagerly strive every day to create and maintain a long-lasting and positive transformation that will provide children the opportunity to learn. This, in turn, creates a brighter and more secure start in life. These are not just requirements for the fulfillment of a child's life, but also because education is the cornerstone, the backbone of a nation: Education is key.
Thanks to our unwavering supporters, we have achieved tremendous results for children. From 2022 to 2024 Love by Action in Charity's nutrition and educational programs, alongside our partners, empowered 1,367 children in Haiti to become healthier, safer, and better educated.
The scale of the crisis in Haiti has increased exponentially in recent years. More children are now living in poverty and unsafe zones than at any time in the past 10 years, alongside a rise in orphaned children. Natural disasters are not only more frequent but also more severe. As always, children in crisis are among the most vulnerable.
